Braunvieh (which translated means brown cow) is a breed of cattle originating in Switzerland and now is found in most countries of the world. Our Mission

We are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of  the Original Braunvieh breed of cattle.  Our research into the history and bloodlines over the last twelve years positions us as a premier breeder of elite Braunvieh seed stock.  Our herd of donor cows represents the best in Original Swiss Imports that were brought into North America in the 1960's and 1970's.

About Us

We are Charles and Maxine Hooks and we live in McKenzie, Alabama, approximately 100 miles north of Mobile, Alabama.  Take I-65 north to exit 96, go east to Highway 31, turn left and follow the signs to McKenzie, approximately 20 miles.  We welcome you to come by anytime to look at cattle and talk about Braunvieh!
